What are some of your favorite Bible verses or ones that are important to you right now? I'll get us started. Make sure to let us know why... "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15
If we put in the time it takes to memorize scripture and let it strengthen us in mind and in heart, we won't have to him and haw around when people ask us about our faith. We'll be able to answer them in a confident way.
I hope you spend some time in the scripture today. It's a great way to spend a few minutes. your friend, Brian

I was really encouraged by a verse used in the sermon on this past Sunday morning. It goes like this: "Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed..." Romans 4:18a
Sometimes times get tough. Sometimes we want to give up and stop believing. Sometimes like Abraham was experiencing, it looks like all hope is lost. Yet, like Abraham, if we trust in God with our whole heart we will make it and we will end up in the long run trusting God even more to meet all our needs. Because, what He wants for us is always the best.

Proverbs 4:23
"Above all else, guard your heart, for its the center of all you do"
You only have 1 heart....who's it longing for? I am so encouraged to say that mine's for my Jesus, the one for whom my soul longs!

Judges 8:4
Gideon, "exhausted, yet keeping the pursuit" .....
Many of you out there are tired, exhausted, stressed, lonely, afraid...God wants you to press on......and do what you think you cant...go when you think you cant go, run when you want to walk....He's waiting for you and is ready to unload some amazing grace on your precious life!

Psalm 121:1-2
I lift up my eyes to the hills- where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip- he who watches over you will not slumber!
Thank you Lord Jesus for being our help, our refuge, our rock. You never let us down!

Isaiah 26:8-
"Yes, LORD, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts."
A lot of times I struggle on waiting for God and His timing. However, I know that God will provide things for me along the way to help guide me in the right direction, His direction. We must just be patient and make sure we wait for God. If we get too far ahead of Him, we may find ourselves far behind Him in the end. We should make Him our first priority. He, above all else, should be the true desire of our hearts.

This is more of one that I'm having trouble with at the moment, I suppose it's just me trying to justify my actions instead of relying solely on the Bible, but I'll get to that in a second
2 Corinthians 6:13:
Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness
This may just be me selfishly trying to interpret the Bible to my own will, and if it is, please call me on it. But it seems to me that it is our job as the light of the world to illuminate it. If we are not to attach ourselves to unbelievers, how are we to have any relevance in their lives, much less enough to help them see the light?
Just some reasons I think it is our job to illuminate the metaphorical darkness:
Acts 13:47 "I have placed you as a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring Salvation to the end of the Earth."
I think it is our job to communicate our faith to others, and people more strongly respect the beliefs and view them in a more serious light of those they are close to.
Is that a bad thing to say? Am I simply twisting something to make it what I want to interpret it as? Again, please call me on it if I am doing so.
