NL West[/u]
San Diego Padres- No that isn't a typo. Remember, they only finished 6 games back last year. They take it this year. Works for me. Now if we could only do something about those horrid uniforms…<br> 2 Los Angeles Dodgers- With the exception of last year, the Dodgers usually manage to do something to mess up a division title run every year. This season, we get back to normal. I’m not saying that they are a bad team. In fact they probably improved more than any other team over last year. But my pick still stands.
San Francisco Giants- The Giants are getting old, Bonds has a little issue with steroids to deal with, and the Giants just don’t have enough firepower this year to do anything in their division. That all equals to spot number 3 in the West.
Arizona Diamondbacks- New guys Russ Ortiz, Shawn Green, and Troy Glaus aren’t anything to be ashamed of. The D-Backs use this year as a time to learn how to play together as a team, and they go on to sign one more big pitcher next off season. Then it will definitely be on come 2006.
Colorado Rockies- Hide the women and children, because this could be real ugly, real soon. I looked at the Rockies roster, and I seriously recognized maybe 4 guys out of the whole thing. I bet these guy have to look at the back of each others jerseys just to figure out who they are playing with. And wear nametags when they aren’t in uniform. And Todd Helton probably refers to the third baseman as “That guy over there”. Ugh…not good at all.
